Crafty Cardmakers and more #117 - Flourishing

Elaine is hosting the latest challenge this fortnight over at Crafty Cardmakers & More and she has chosen the theme 'Flourishing' so she would like to see a flourish of some kind on your project, this can be stamped, die cut or even both!

This week I had to make my first Sympathy Card and thought it would be the perfect opportunity to use some flourishes. I also decided to go for a white on white card, something I have wanted to try for ages but really known where to start!

The Card, Flower Wreath, Flourishes and Gardenias were all cut on my Silhouette Cameo using some lovely cream textured card from The Paper Mill, they really do have the loveliest card.

I added some pearls to the Gardenias and some liquid pearls to the wreath and as an afterthought added a butterfly to match the colour of the sentiment.

I look forward to seeing all your projects, don't forget to check out my teams blogs to see what they have created.

Open-minded Crafting Fun #11

The challenge this fortnight at Open-Minded Crafting Fun is Fairytale or Fantasy.  We have 5 great sponsors for this challenge and I decided to use an image by Eureka stamps called ' Dragon blowing out candles'.

I have coloured the image with a mix of copics and promarkers.  I used lots of dots to try and give the effect of scales.

The papers are by  First edition and called "Animal Antics"

I designed and cut the candle border in my silhouette studio and coloured the flames with distress ink.

To finish I added a free ticket sentiment by Scrap a licious, she has lots of fab freebies here.

Thanks for looking and I hope to see your creations on our challenge.  Please check out my teamies blogs to see there fab creations too.

Open Minded Crafting Fun #10

A new challenge starts today over at Open-minded Crafting Fun and the theme this fortnight is 'USE SOME RIBBON'

I have used an image by one of our sponsors Dilly Bean Stamps - called Ragdoll Ruby.  I chose this image because of all her lovely hair.

I coloured her with Copics, sticking to just orange and green.

To finish off the card I used some spellbinders dies for matting onto an orange background.

The ribbon border was a freebie from Birds Cards, she has the most lovely SVG cut files and they are all free!

I threaded the green ribbon through and made a little bow for the top, the ribbon is from Mei Flower.

Then finished with some buttons.

Gardenia & Pearls

Recently I was lucky enough to win a free digital stamp by Aurora Wings.

I chose the lovely Gardenia & Pearls and couldn't wait to colour her up.

I started off with a beige/brown Monocromatic theme, but then ruined it by sneaking in some green for the leaves, in hindsight maybe an orangey brown would have kept it Mono.

Anyway I am really pleased with how she turned out - just need to work on hair colouring :)

She is mainly coloured with Copics but I did use the odd pro marker.

The die cuts are all spellbinders and the large Gardenia is from the SIL store.

All other embellishments have been in my crafty stash for a while now.
