Digi Choosday Week 30

It's DIGI CHOOSDAY and time for a new inspiration post, these last few weeks we have been getting a start of Christmas.

I have made a Christmas countdown Calendar using a cutting file by Samantha Walker.

I have used papers and an image from my favourite Christmas collection -  Octavia Frosted Winter.  I just love the colours and magic of this collection.

The main part and the two blocks are cut in heavy white card stock.  I printed one of the landscapes from the collection to decorate the stand and added some blue sparkle washi tape to the bottom edge.

The blocks are also covered in different papers from the collection.

I cut the main image out on my cameo and added lots of sparkle with a SN pen.  Finally adding a couple of wooden snowflakes.

Have a great week.

Digi Choosday Week 29

The Design Team have been working on projects using Christmas/Winter colours this week.

I know Red & Green are the traditional Christmas Colours, but when I think of Christmas I see Blue and Silver, so that is what I have used on my project.

I used my favourite pre-coloured images from Octavia Frosted Winter and cut a bauble shape around them.

I then used one of the ribbon dies from Polka doodles ribbon-gift-frames-corners die set and added to the top with a little gem.

I also used one of the stalk stamps from Summertime STAMP ME for the baubles to 'Hang' from.

I added a little MDF Xmas that I painted blue and covered with glitter.

Wow it seems so early to do Christmas, but then I always leave it too late.

High Heels

The image is coloured with Copics with some clear sparkle pen on those hight heels.

Papers are from an awesome paper pad I found in B & M home stores for £2.99, bit of a bargain for a 12 x 12 24 page collection and they are great quality paper too.

I finished with a strip of diamonds an some flowers.

Digi Choosday Week 28

This week at DIGI CHOOSDAY, we have been challenged with a theme of 'Thank You', perfect timing as one of my Husbands work colleagues recently gifted us some children's books for my Son.

As always we are an ANYTHING GOES challenge, but you can join in with the theme if you wish.

I started by printing a backing paper from Helga Hippo, I matted one onto pink card stock and used the other to make the folded butterfly.

The centre layers are actually the left overs from cutting one of the flower borders in this collection, to which I added my sentiment (Silhouette store).

I added some pre-coloured flowers from Summertime Stamp Me and a few pearls to the corners.

Don't forget to pop over and get todays DISCOUNT CODE and check out all the lovely new images in the Store.

PAR-fect Birthday

Today I am representing Team C over at Colour Crazy and our sponsor is the fabulous Doctor Digi, They have the most fun stamps, I find them especially great for Male cards.

With this in mind I had a 70th Birthday card to make for my Husbands Golf Mad Uncle, so I have used Hole in one Hal to create a golf lovers card.

I made the sentiment in Silhouette Studio and also cut the golf ball too.

I have coloured Hal with Copics.

I look forward to seeing your challenge entries on our ANYTHING GOES challenge.

Digi Choosday Week 27

This week at DIGI CHOOSDAY, the team have been playing with the everso versatile design sheets, most collections have several to choose from and they are great because you can resize and also just use the elements you want.

I have used A Gift of Flowers from Winnie Special Moments and created a quick and easy Fathers day Card.

The only additional element I have used is the tiny love and Dad stickers.

Our challenge is always ANYTHING GOES and we would love to see you join us.

Butterfly Sprite

We have a new challenge over at Aurora Wings and it's an 'ANYTHING GOES' challenge, so plenty of scope with Mitzi's beautiful images.

I have chosen to use Butterfly Sprite and coloured her with Copics in shades of purple, blue and grey.

Earlier in the year I went to Ally Pally and brought loads of new products to try, one of which was the Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks and the background on this card was my first attempt using them.  I think it turned out pretty cool.

Another thing I wanted to try was gilding flakes, which I have used here on the dandelion and sentiment, very messy but I like the effect.

I look forward to seeing all your gorgeous projects, we would love to see you share them on our Facebook page too.
